I work with a variety of mediums including oil, acrylic, and watercolor. However, my main focus is on oil painting.
I have been painting for many years. I started out in the mid 70's learning the classical style at the Art Students League in New York City. After four years in New York I moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico where the high desert and the culture influenced me to became more expressive and even abstract. I now live in Saint Paul , Minnesota where I am carrying on with an expressionist and abstract response to all the water and trees. My main inspiration has been nature and the landscape but the human figure grabs my imagination too (of course we're nature too). Right now I'm working on a series of abstract figures and becoming more and more interested in abstraction because it feels like playing - it feels like freedom!
Yes! Please note that my painting technique is very intuitive and the outcome is not totally predictable but is guaranteed to be wonderful.
The larger paintings (3.5'x4.5') average $4000 , the medium sized paintings (2'x3') average $2000 and the smaller paintings (1'x2')average $900.
The frame really needs to fit into the home decor so I think framing is best done by the purchaser - although I am happy to offer my thoughts and advice on this matter.
No, shipping is extra and is calculated separately based on weight and size. Average cost falls somewhere between $100 for a smaller painting and $900 for a larger painting within the contiguous USA.
